These placemats are made out of 100% sheep’s wool, felted to give sturdy, but soft whimsical texture to your table settings. For the serious & unserious dinner party, early morning breakfasts, lazy lunches, you can dress them up or down to suit your needs.
Currently available in sets of 4 or 6, with an even split of colors in each pack, natural grey & white, measuring 19.5” long X 13.5” wide.

Please allow 3 weeks for production of the placemats, before they’re shipped. I make everything by hand, on the farm in a busy studio & sometimes that means it could take a couple of weeks for the mats to get made. We are committed to making sure everything is made & sent in a timely manner. Thank you for your patience!
Care Instructions:
The felt will resist most minor food and liquid spills.
They can be washed in a similar fashion as you would a sweater- soak in room temp to cold water, follow with a soak in mild detergent or dish soap with water at the same temperature, followed with soaking rinses or light spray with the same temperature of water, until the water runs without suds. Release excess water- my preferred method is rolling the mats in a dry towel to squeeze out water. Lay flat until dry
Light agitation is fine! If you heavily agitate or use hot water, especially repeatedly, the placemats will continue to felt.
Consider any VM (vegetable matter, i.e. grass or plant seeds) as a sign of authenticity for the wool, sourced from our beloved silvopasture flock in Hadley & Sunderland, MA, as well as wool from our dear shepherd friend Milton, at Five Sigma Farm in Sullivan, NH.
